Thera: Vie Hand and Foot Treatment

Anti- Aging Hand Treatment:

An exfoliating and deep hydrating treatment; this treatment begins with a retexturizing peeling cream to gently remove dead skin followed by hot towels to sooth and warm the skin. Next a seaweed mask is applied and the hands are placed in warm mitts for complete moisturizing benefits. This treatment ends with the best hand massage leaving your hands looking and feeling young. Truly a “Facial” for your hands.

Sweet Cream, Sweet Dream Hand Treatment
It begins with gentle exfoliation using a micro-dermabrasion cream. Next a honey glaze mask is applied followed by hot mitts for 15 minutes. The treatment ends with a relaxing hand massage using our Sweat Cream Body Milk.

Ayurvedic Scalp Massage:

This massage uses the highest quality sesame oil combined with the appropriate Dosha Essential Oil.  The oil is poured onto the third eye, forehead area between the eyes, and worked into the scalp.  Gentle and relaxing strokes on the face and scalp for aproximately 20 minutes followed by a hot towel wrap on the head and hair to allow for deeper penetration of the oil.

Dosha Theory of Ayurveda
Ayurveda is an ancient system of disease prevention, health care, and healing.Conservative estimates place the origins of Ayurveda in the Himalayan mountains 5000 years ago.  In Fact, 3000 year old Ayurvedic texts which comprehensively include everything from advanced surgical techniques to herbalism, and from obstetrics to geriatrics are readily available.  This makes Ayurveda the most enduring time-tested and proven healing modality available in the world today.

In Ayurveda the diagnosis of disease and individual constitution is in terms of three psycho-physical doshas, or humors, called Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.  The literal meaning of dosha is "fault" because these three humors are the three ways in which the body tends to move out of balance.  Each persons psycho-physical constitution can be described in terms of one or a combination of these doshas.  Your therapist can help you determine which dosha constitution or an imbalance is so you can decide which remedy is right for you.


Hot Oil Head & Neck Treatment:
This treatment combines the Ayurvedic Scalp Massage with a complete neck and shoulder massage.  Choose from the following three:

Heavenly Hydration- uses Young Living "Citrus Fresh" to increase mental clarity

Restful Relaxation- uses Young Living "Peace & Calming" or Lavender to provide powerful calming benefits

Indian Head Massage
For this service the client is seated in a comfortable chair dressed in a robe or draped with a towel. The client is asked to take three slow deep breaths in and out through the nose and close the eyes.  At this time warm sesame oil is massaged into specific points along the head followed by various techniques to stimulate these points.  The treatment continues with head, neck, face and shoulder massage.
The head, neck and face are massaged with the purpose of manipulating energy channels. The goal is to clear blocks in these energy channels that cause a build-up of negative energy that are purported to cause ailments. The belief is when the energy does not flow properly, negative energy builds up, causing common ailments, including stress, pain and nociception pains and aches, and baldness or hair loss. Indian head massage was brought to the west by Narendra Mehta in the 1970s.

Abdominal Massage- for Women Only
Gentle, soothing abdominal massage using Young Living "Dragon Time" Essential Oil Blend.  Combines clary sage, lavender, yarrow, fennel, marjoram, and jasmine- the perfect choice for women's emotions during special times and needs.  Helps relieve discomforts during a womens monthly cycle.  Recomended for young and mature women.

Massage Cupping:
Plastic suction cups used to mimic Deep Tissue Massage. These cups are used in conjunction with a Sports Therapy Oil to penetrate deep into the muscle. This technique is best when used on areas that need extra attention such as the back. Can also be used on the hamstrings and hip or gluteal area.
